Meet our Arabic and Quran teachers.
Chief Executive Officer
Shaykh Mahmoud Al-Assal is an Al-Azhar–trained Qur’an and Qirāʾāt scholar with over 13 years of teaching experience. He holds multiple Qur’anic Ijāzāt, including the Ten Qirāʾāt, and is known for his academic excellence and leadership. He currently serves as Director, Co-Founder, and Senior Instructor at Shaykhi Academy, teaching advanced Qur’anic and Tajwīd programs to both Arabic and non-Arabic speakers.
Managing Director
Mr. Luqman El-Kasabany is a Director of Shaykhi Academy, an Al-Azhar graduate, Hafiz of the Qur’an, and qualified teacher of Islamic sciences. He teaches online, authored the academy’s curriculum, and actively pursues professional and personal development.
Senior Qur’an Teacher
Mr. Ahmed Ramadan is a highly qualified Qur’an teacher and translator with an honors degree from Al-Azhar University, three years of experience in teaching and translation, early Qur’an memorization, multiple ijazāt, and five years of service as an imam.
Egyptian Qur’an teacher
Shaykh Ahmed Hassan Saber is an Egyptian Hafiz and qualified Qur’an reciter with Ijazat in Asem Qira’at, extensive Islamic studies at Al-Azhar, and strong experience teaching Tajweed and Arabic to non-native speakers.

Mr. Mahmoud Elsaid is an Al-Azhar graduate and Qur’an teacher with over two years of experience, strong educational training, and expertise in teaching various Islamic sciences to learners of all ages.

Mr. Abdullah Moftah is a qualified Qur’an teacher, Al-Azhar graduate, and licensed imam specializing in ‘Asim Barawiyyah recitation.

Mr. Nour Eddin Mahmoud is an Al-Azhar student and Qur’an teacher from Egypt who memorized the Qur’an at 13, holds multiple Ijazahs in Qira’at, Tajweed, and Hadith, and teaches both Arabic and non-Arabic speakers in Arabic and English using clear explanations and engaging teaching methods for children.

Mr. Saif Al-Metwaly is a multilingual Egyptian medical student who teaches Qur’an recitation, Tajweed, and Islamic studies to non-Arabic speakers using clear methods and has experience in self-development and institutional work.
Mrs. Asmaa Abdul Rahman is an experienced Qur’an and Tajweed teacher with over ten years of expertise. A graduate of Al-Azhar University, she teaches children and women, supports accurate recitation and memorization, and holds an Ijazah in Hafs ‘an ‘Asim.
Ms. Alaa Elbakry, a 29-year-old Arabic graduate from Alexandria University, is an experienced Qur’an teacher and writer. She has memorized key Qur’anic texts, taught online, engaged in charitable work, and published two books.
Qur’an and Arabic teacher from Egypt
Ms. Kholoud Hamada, an Egyptian native, is a Qur’an memorizer and Tajweed expert fluent in Arabic and English. She has over three years of experience teaching Qur’an and Arabic, effectively engaging learners of all ages. Currently pursuing an Ijazah in ‘Asim, she also holds an Ijazah in Tohfa Al-Atfal.

Asmaa Gohar is a 30-year-old Egyptian Arabic speaker and certified tutor with over six years of experience teaching Arabic, Qur’an with Tajweed, and Islamic studies to non-native speakers. She uses interactive, gamified, and step-by-step teaching methods, tailoring lessons to students’ needs and making learning clear, simple, and engaging.
